Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a powerful technique which can help you change negative beliefs, achieve goals, treat emotional problems and alleviate a range of medical conditions. It works by accessing your subconscious mind, where all your automatic behaviours take place, and creates new patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving.

Hypnosis is a normal state of mind that we often experience through out our day, like a half state between being awake and asleep. A pleasant natural state of deep physical and mental relaxation. Have you ever been so engrossed in a book that you have forgotten the time, been on autopilot when doing a repetitive task or find yourself daydreaming. Well these are everyday examples of being in hypnosis or a 'trance state' and hypnotherapy is simply a way of putting these natural trances to work solving your problems.

The benefits of being in a relaxed state are that we are more open to learning, explore new ideas,  and able to view situations more objectively. This in turn allows you to:

The hypnotherapist will use relaxation techniques and guided imagery to help you gradually relax into a trance where you will be fully focused on the positive messages the therapist suggests to you. When this stage is complete the therapist will gradually bring you back to reality and fully awake so you can go about your everyday tasks as normal.

Professional hypnotherapy is different to stage hypnosis as it works at a deeper level to create change, not purely for the entertainment of an audience. You do not loose control or reveal anything you do not want to. Hypnotherapy is safe and you can always come out of the trance whenever you want.

Hypnotherapy is a brief therapy and results can be seen in just one or two sessions. Usually no more than six sessions are needed.
