Chiropractic - An Overview
Chiropractic aims to restore normal function in the joints, muscles and nerves to improve control, co-ordination and strength and thus reduce pain and injury. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommend both of these manual therapies for low back pain.
Our chiropractors and osteopaths work together at the clinic - this means you can move between these clinicians for your care without repeating a first consultation - you can book by your preference or for your convenience. Get more details including which conditions we can help and what to expect from your first visit here. Or find out a few basics about back pain here. Health insurance will often fund these therapies, so speak to your insurer before your first visit. Are you insured with Bupa or AXA-PPP? We are currently not accepting patients under these scheme. The profession is statutorily regulated through the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) and it is a criminal offence to practice without being registered with the GCC. High standards of continuous professional training and competence are ensured by the regulators. |
