You may recognise Abbie from working on reception, but she has another string to her bow!
Having enjoyed being active all her life, and seeing the great changes in clients at Equilibrium, she decided she wanted to get more involved in helping people access their potential! Consequently, Abbie qualified as Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer.
Abbie is able to work alongside our Chiropractors and Osteopaths to put together an exercise plan, tailored to suit you. The specific aims will be discussed with your practitioner, helping to strengthen your body to try and limit the recurrence of any pain you may be struggling with. She will run through the programme in a one-to-one, making sure you have good form and know how to progress safely. She will then meet you again after a given period, to refresh and progress the programme. If you want more motivation you are welcome to book more sessions! If any issues come up, Abbie can feed back to your practitioner and we can all work together to solve the problem.
Abbie has a special interest in working with clients that find traditional gym environments intimidating and has a friendly approach, can work with minimal equipment for a home programme or modify your exercise plan if you are a member of a gym.
Having torn her ACL herself, Abbie is familiar with how many clients may be feeling when it comes to frustration and limitation. and learnt to be patient as she progressed through rehab herself!
Outside of Equilibrium, Abbie holds group fitness sessions and also enjoys horse riding competitively
