Osteopath Gerry Hale has always been interested in helping people “get better”. He worked in London for 17 years as a Community Mental Health Nurse. This rewarding work gave him many insights into the challenges and struggles faced by people in day-to-day life. Having seen so often the destructive effects of mental health issues upon the body, and conversely how physical incapacity impacts on peoples’ psychological and emotional equilibrium, Gerry wanted to explore further this interrelationship between mind and body. He felt that he had more to offer, and so decided on a mid career change into Osteopathic training and eventually into BodyTalk.
Gerry graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996 with an Honours degree in Osteopathy and diploma in Naturopathy. Since then, he has worked in the Midlands, (in Lichfield and Derby), and in London.
Gerry has trained in a number of modalities since graduation, finding great benefits from the insights and skills to be found in these approaches. He uses osteopathic structural and cranial approaches, NeuroImpulse Protocol with modified toggle recoil adjustments, Functional Neurology, (with reference to proprioceptive kinesiology), activator adjustments.
Gerry also trained as a BodyTalk Practitioner, certifying in 2008, and has completed advanced training up to PaRama level, including BodyTalk Epigenetics.
