About Anna

Staffordshire-born Anna Hindley first encountered Chiropractic when both she and her horse were treated, and her dressage scores improved beyond recognition as a result.

As a teenager, she rode and competed regularly and found that she really noticed a difference in her performance when she and her horses were “balanced”.  This, along with a natural desire to help others, encouraged her to enter the profession.

Before qualifying, she spent several years working and traveling in Asia and she still has a passion for exotic travel.  When relaxing, Anna is often found with a novel in her hands or walking her Labrador, Daisy, out in the fresh air.

Anna is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC)   and is a member of the Scottish Chiropractic Association (SCA) and the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association

Anna attended a four year full-time undergraduate course at the University of Glamorgan and graduated with a First Class Honours degree, winning the prize for academic achievement in her graduating class.  The course included intensive training in a variety of subjects including life sciences and clinical skills (including supervised clinical experience.) She has also completed post-graduate training to allow her to use acupuncture for pain relief.  Anna has a special interest in caring for babies and small children, and has helped with sleepless and colicky infants using her Chiropractic skills.

Anna is also a graduate of the  International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic  The IAVC courses are designed for professionals from both the veterinary and human chiropractic fields. The educational backgrounds of the two professions make up the foundation on which the course is built. The International Academy considers their curriculum to be the gold standard in the professions today and estimates to have trained well over 90% of all the professionals (vets and chiropractors) who have taken post-graduate animal chiropractic training worldwide.
